Ricardo Roehmer – Teacher and Organiser

I’m Ricardo, originally from Germany and currently based in Zurich, Switzerland. My journey with Tantric Journey began quite unexpectedly while travelling through Sri Lanka. Having always been passionate about massage and bodywork, I was searching for a retreat that would combine my interests in touch, healing, and energy work.

Through my fiancée Martina, I was introduced to meditation, mindfulness, and spirituality — a world that resonated deeply with me. While exploring these themes further, I came across Mal Weeraratne’s work and was immediately drawn to the holistic approach of Emotional Detox through Tantric-Tao Bodywork.

After completing Mal’s online masterclass and reading his book, I felt inspired to step into this transformative path. Attending the London retreat with Mal was a life-changing experience. It opened my heart, shifted my perspective on emotions and trauma, and deepened my awareness of the body’s wisdom.

Together with Martina, I now co-facilitate retreats and workshops under the guidance of Mal, blending the depth of Eastern traditions with grounded emotional healing. It brings me great joy to hold space for others and support them on their own healing journeys.

My background is in electrical engineering, and I currently work as a project manager in the renewable energy sector.
